Today, up until now, has been a relatively shitty day.
1) I slept at 3am, thus I went to choir half asleep.
2) Wanted to go for lunch with just the guys, but then someone came along.
3) As in my previous post, I get sad when i see her.
4) Emo-ed on the bus
5) Emo-ed while walking to TM
6) Emo-ed at Pastamania
7) Ended up with no appetite to eat even though i hadn't even had BREAKFAST.
8) Went to play Time Crisis 2 with LipKiam, but the gun sucked. Out of trying to press the trigger 5 times, only 1 shot came out.
9) Tried to cheer myself up by singing songs, but ended up emo again.
10) She left, and my phone started playing 听妈妈的话 by Jay Chou => Cheered up abit.
11) Got on the MRT home, Emo-ed, Fanny called and I told him I wasn't going to Parkway anymore. QingLin called, same reply.
12) Reach home, played some dota, lots of leavers and noobs = pissed.
13) While typing this, I'm feeling kinda confused about my feelings. Then again, I don't think I even deserve to be her friend anymore.
Fuck, I don't like my life.

So this is what rejection feels like. Cool. Makes me feel like doing what Cedric Diggory told Harry Potter to do, "mull things over in hot water". HAHAHA, thing being, I got no bath tub, only hot water from the shower. LOL.

Sectionals. How effective are they? Discuss.
HAHAHA ever since this evening's choir practice, I've been thinking about the effectiveness of sectionals. They are there for us to improve, in our own section, correcting our OWN mistakes, so that we do not have the TENDENCY to sing the WRONG notes/rhythm during combined rehearsals.
Sectionals are there for a distinct reason, and I remember very acutely in DHS how we were reprimanded for coming back from sectionals with the same mistakes, bearing no progress whatsoever, other than the incessant screeching produced from our violins.
Similarly, the same scenario which torture section leaders repetitively occur in JC too. Members who don't listen, fool around, engage in excessive small talk, are of course, present in every CCA, unless you can provide me with 50 extremely shy people in a single CCA who are anti-social. Fooling around once in awhile is alright, I believe. Hey, even the SL gets bored after repeatedly drilling the same 4 notes into 5 guys for 15 mins you know :X However, I don't think that it should compromise the precious time that we have during sectionals. They are, after all, for correcting our mistakes and improving on blending, pitching, and stuff like that. If improvement cannot be achieved, then the sectionals have lost its purpose. The result? Massive wastage of time when the conductor comes to do combined rehearsals. Time which should be spent on correcting the overall blending of the choir and timing of 4 different parts, instead of only 1 or 2.
I sincerely believe that each and every one of us has a big part to do during sectionals, whether be it the SLs trying their utter best (and i mean it) to correct mistakes, or the members scrambling to write something important their SL just mentioned, everyone should cooperate together to ensure smooth facilitation of sectionals, which would culminate in enhanced effectiveness so that precious (Gollum: "My..... Preciousssssss....") time will not be wasted during combined rehearsals.
